10/07/2017: Ottawa, Canadá: Freedom Week - Fecha límite para postular: Marzo 31

“Freedom Week is a great opportunity to explore ideas, learn from distinguished faculty, and network with students from across the country.”
– Alexandra Mortensen, University of Regina
“Freedom Week has the ability to create an amazing point of view in how you view the world around you. It allows you to listen, respect, and empower yourself with information you don’t usually get at school. This was a truly amazing experience and I will refer it to friends.”
– Madeleine McCracken, Mount Royal University
Do you want to meet others who share your passion for ideas?
Freedom Week is a five-day intellectual adventure that gives participants a chance to explore the ideas of liberty. By taking part in Freedom Week you will have an opportunity to learn more about classical liberal ideas in areas like economics, philosophy, law, and public policy from a faculty of distinguished professors. The curriculum has been designed to engage students who are new to these ideas, as well as those with a bit more experience.
There is no charge to take part in Freedom Week. Participants are selected through a competitive application process. All participants will have accommodations and meals provided by the Institute for Liberal Studies. In return, you will be expected to attend, and fully participate in, all seminar sessions.
Freedom Week is open to post-secondary students at the undergraduate or graduate level, and to recent graduates (within two years). Due to the high level of interest in Freedom Week, we do not consider applications from previous participants. Foreign nationals are welcome to apply, but we are unable to offer advice or assistance in obtaining a visa.
All applications must be received by March 31.
We expect to host the following Freedom Week seminars in 2017:
  • Simon Fraser University (July 10-15)
  • McGill University (August 14-19)
